Meet Aisling

Psychotherapist with a compassionate, empathetic approach

My goal is to provide a warm, welcoming and secure space where you can feel safe, always heard and supported. Therapy with me is collaborative, confidential, and grounded in compassion.  The goal is to help you find clarity and balance in your life.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, panic attacks, bereavement, and relationship difficulties. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years working in the tech industry, so I have a strong understanding of workplace stress, burnout, and professional challenges.

The power of transformation in therapy is driven directly by the strength of the relationship between the client and therapist. I endeavor at every stage to take an empathetic, supportive, non-judgemental approach to work with my clients, no matter what they are going through. Together we can effect change and make real progress on pervasive issues.

I am based in Rathfarnham Village, Dublin 14,but work with people who travel from further away.  I work both in-person and online. I hold a Masters in Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy (First Class Honours) and am a pre-accredited member of the IACP. My training is integrative and humanistic, allowing me to adapt my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

I'd love to hear from you and explore whether we can work well together to ease any issues you are facing.  Please do reach out and get in touch. I promise a warm and welcoming response.

Diana, Dublin IRL

Aisling is truly a professional. She has created such an incredible safe space for me where I could feel understood and supported. She has helped me enormously to become the person I am today and I couldn't recommend her more.

Orlagh, Dublin IRL

Aisling is very professional, creating a non judgmental space and manages to still be warm and welcoming. I have been a client for over 2 years and would highly recommend to anyone, especially for young adults or people struggling with ADHD and depression.

Max, London UK

Aisling is an incredibly kind, professional and diligent therapist. She has helped me piece back together many aspects of myself and has shown that recovery is not impossible-but beautiful.
Many thanks Aisling and I hope you help many other people!

About

Aisling spent a large part of her career in the tech world, as well as running her own online businesses in crafts and weddings, before taking the step to move into a psychotherapeutic role.  Having studied psychology as part of her primary degree, it was an area that always interested and intrigued her.  She studied at the long-established Tivoli Institute and graduated with an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with 1st class honours.  Her Master's thesis is currently in revision for submission to the BACP's journal, Counselling and Psychotherapy Research.

Aisling is currently a pre-accredited member of the IACP - Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. meaning she cannot take health insurance at this time.  This is reflected in the lower rate per session that she charges.
