Anxiety & Overwhelm Therapy in Dublin
When your mind won't switch off

Do you spend a lot of time worrying about what might happen, replaying conversations, imagining worst-case scenarios or wondering whether you've done something wrong?

Perhaps you look like you're coping perfectly well to everyone else, but inside you're constantly thinking, analysing and trying to stay one step ahead.

Anxiety can be exhausting.

Sometimes it shows up as obvious worry or panic. Other times it's harder to recognise — feeling tense, overwhelmed, indecisive, restless or unable to enjoy the present because your mind is somewhere else.

You don't have to understand exactly why you feel anxious.
In therapy, we can take the time to explore what's going on beneath the anxiety and what may be keeping it going.
We might look at patterns of thinking, relationships, past experiences, expectations you place on yourself, or the things you do to try to feel safe and in control.

The aim isn't simply to tell you to “stop worrying”. It's about developing a better understanding of yourself and finding ways of responding to difficult thoughts and feelings that feel more manageable.

Anxiety can look different for everyone

You might:

-
Overthink even small decisions
-
Constantly worry about the future
-
Find it difficult to relax or be present
-
Feel responsible for keeping everyone else happy
-
Fear making mistakes or disappointing people
-
Avoid situations because they feel overwhelming
-
Reassure yourself repeatedly but never quite feel reassured
-
Feel anxious even when you know there is no obvious reason to be

You may even wonder why you're struggling when, on paper, everything seems to be okay.

A space where you don't have to hold everything together
I offer warm, collaborative psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety and overwhelm from my practice in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14, and online throughout Ireland.

You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis or know exactly what you want to talk about. We can start with whatever feels most difficult right now.

Sessions are €70 for 50 minutes.

If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, you can book a free 15-minute consultation. It's an opportunity to talk briefly about what's bringing you to therapy and see whether I might be the right therapist for you.

You can feel differently.
